82-year-old killed in Austria – nurse arrested

A man over 80 years old dies in Upper Austria after being stabbed several times. A nurse is arrested, the background to the crime is still completely unclear.
According to the police, a 24-year-old nurse is in Austria is suspected of having killed a man she cared for with multiple stab wounds. The police said the case occurred the evening before in the 82-year-old’s single-family home in Geretsberg in the state of Upper Austria.
The Slovakian nurse called the man’s stepdaughter and told her that an incident with a knife had happened, a police spokesman told the German Press Agency. The daughter-in-law then alerted the rescue workers. The 82-year-old died despite attempts at resuscitation at the scene near the border with Bavaria.
The nurse was arrested and then taken to a hospital. The police said she was in a psychological state of emergency and had not yet been questioned. The spokesman was initially unable to provide any information about the possible background and motives of this case. It is currently not known that there have been any previous problems between the nurse and her client, he said.
