A young woman is reported missing in Siegen and is being searched for with great effort. On the same day, a farmer found a woman’s body more than 200 kilometers away in Emmerich.
In the course of the investigation, the police arrested a 23-year-old suspect in Siegen in the early afternoon, according to a statement. Initially, there was no further information about the course of the crime, the background and the motive. A farmer found the 23-year-old dead on a dirt road near Autobahn 3 in Emmerich in the morning.
Hundreds of riot police, sniffer dogs and a helicopter were deployed during the search in a forest northeast of Siegen.
