While vacationing in Crete, a Cretan family came across an interesting feature in their hotel room: a secret window leading directly to the bar. And of course the father took advantage of this opportunity.

Surprises in the holiday hotel can often be quite unpleasant. But they can also significantly enhance the holiday. In the case of a family from Great Britain, the latter was clearly the case. She discovered up in her room Crete namely an unexpected upgrade.

There is a curtain in one corner of the room. The family found out that if you pull this back, a window appears. And that leads directly to the hotel bar. The father demonstrated the invaluable advantage of this in a TikTok video.

First he shows the window, then he climbs through to the bar and taps a beer there when the bar is no longer open. He can then enjoy it again in his hotel room.

Drinks flat rate also outside the opening times

“Of all the rooms they could give us,” he commented on the video, and “when the all-inclusive ends at 11 p.m. but you have a secret window in your hotel room.” The secret access to the hotel bar should not be entirely allowed, since the drinks are officially only available free of charge up to a certain time. The British tourist cares little about it and takes the opportunity directly. He later posted a video showing the view of the bar during its opening hours.

In the comments on TikTok, other users reported that they had also stayed in the room. However, they did not admit that they helped themselves at the bar. And while many found the video funny, some were critical. With such behavior, it’s no wonder that there are complaints about British tourists everywhere, said one – and another: “Congratulations, you’ve ruined it for everyone who’s still coming.” In total, the video on TikTok has been viewed more than five million times so far.
