With the wrong arm to the real proof: An Italian wanted to cheat so absurdly with the Covid vaccination

In Italy, almost nothing works without the so-called Green Pass. A man wanted to sneak him into a rather absurd act.
It sounds like an act from a sketch comedy. Because he did not want to be vaccinated against the corona virus, an Italian embarked on an absurd plan on Thursday evening: instead of his own, he held out a rubber arm to the doctors at the vaccination station. Now he faces consequences.
The arm was a real-looking silicone prosthesis, reports regional director Albert Cirio in a Facebook post. However, no one fell for the brazen scam. The vaccination doctor immediately noticed the strange color of the arm and asked the man to take off his shirt. He was blown up. “He looked at me half smiling and asked me to give him the injection anyway and to pretend I hadn’t seen anything,” the doctor told “La Repubblica”.
Strict rules in Italy
The reason for the charade is likely to be the strict Covid measures with which Italy wants to protect itself from a renewed flare-up of the pandemic. “I need the vaccination to be able to continue working,” said the doctor’s husband. From Monday, stricter rules apply in Italy. After a “green passport” has been required for work since October, which corresponds to the German 3G (vaccinated, recovered, tested), from Monday the “super green passport”, which corresponds to the German 2G. Without a vaccination you are then no longer allowed to work in many professions. According to media reports, the vaccine fraudster was supposed to be a dentist.
The 57-year-old was reported to the local police. Although it is a vaccination station without an appointment, his identity could be determined quickly because he had already entered his data. He will have to answer in court.
“This case would border on ridiculous if it weren’t for such an important topic,” said Regional Director Cirio. “When you look at the tremendous sacrifices our entire society has made, from human lives to social and economic costs, it’s just unacceptable.”
