Union wants to suspend compulsory vaccination for nursing staff nationwide

After the announcement by the Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) that the facility-related vaccination requirement would be suspended for the time being, the Union is pushing for a nationwide stop. “The federal government must realize that the institution-related vaccination obligation is currently hardly feasible. In order to avert further damage, it should agree with the federal states on a temporary suspension. The suspension should apply nationwide until central legal and practical questions have been answered,” says the health policy spokesman for the CDU/CSU parliamentary group, Tino Sorge, in the newspaper “Bild”. Among other things, the government must clarify the question of how to deal with personnel that institutions regard as indispensable.
