EU Commission: “double” vaccination efforts

In view of the spread of the delta variant of the corona virus, the European Commission is calling on the EU states to do significantly more than before. “For the unvaccinated and only partially vaccinated, the Delta variant is a real threat,” said EU Health Commissioner Stella Kyriakides of the daily newspaper “Welt”. As long as more people have not received their second vaccination, everything must be done to interrupt the chain of transmission of the delta variant. “That means redoubling our efforts to vaccinate the population and respecting public health measures.”
