Karliczek promotes student ID as test evidence

Federal Minister of Education Anja Karliczek (CDU) speaks out in favor of using the student ID card as evidence of corona tests. “I think the idea of expanding the student ID card for test evidence after school is basically a good one. This could make everyday life easier for children and adolescents for whom there are no unrestricted vaccination recommendations or vaccines when they are in their free time have to prove the negative test from school “, says Karliczek of the newspaper” Rheinische Post “. Bavaria’s Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) had previously discussed such a regulation after the deliberations of the federal and state governments on future corona measures.

Vaccine destruction is limited

Despite declining willingness to vaccinate in Germany, half of the federal states have not yet had to destroy any unused or expired vaccination doses to a significant extent. In a survey by the German Press Agency, 7 of the 16 state governments stated that disposal of the corona vaccine could largely be avoided. “At no time did the vaccine have to be destroyed because it could not be used due to its expiry date,” assured the Hamburg health authority. In contrast, the vaccination centers in Bavaria have already disposed of around 53,000 unused vaccination doses – significantly more than the other federal states. Brandenburg reports only around 5,500 expired vaccination doses, Baden-Württemberg has so far disposed of 4,000 doses of AstraZeneca. In other countries only a few hundred cases were mentioned.
