RKI registered 8416 new corona infections – incidence at 74.1
The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reported 8,416 new corona-positive tests within one day. That is 1366 more than on Sunday a week ago, when 7050 new infections were reported. The seven-day incidence rises to 74.1 – the previous day the value was 72.1, a week ago it was 54.5. The value indicates how many people per 100,000 inhabitants have been infected with the corona virus in the past seven days. According to the new information, twelve deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours. There were three deaths a week ago.
The RKI has counted 3,932,547 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not detected. The incidence has so far been the basis for many corona restrictions in the pandemic, for example as part of the federal emergency brake that expired at the end of June. In the future, other values such as hospital admissions will also be given greater consideration. The RKI stated the number of those who had recovered at 3,726,700. The number of people who died with or with a proven infection with Sars-CoV-2 in Germany rose to 92,130.

This is now over because of the significantly lower number of infections. However, travelers to Spain must continue to observe corona rules. Because from a Spanish perspective, Germany is a risk area until at least 5 September. That is why all visitors from Germany over the age of twelve must be able to prove a vaccination or recovery or present a negative test upon entry. This also applies to the return journey to Germany – regardless of whether you come from a high-risk area or not.
The greater Lisbon area is no longer a high-risk area either. The Algarve is the only region in Portugal that remains on the list.

Lufthansa wants to win back business travelers

Thousands of companies are repaying immediate corona aid
