The US aircraft manufacturer Boeing obliges all 125,000 US employees to be vaccinated against Covid-19. The background to this is an order from President Joe Biden, according to which all contractors who work for US federal agencies must require their employees to vaccinate. Anyone who does not comply with the request as an employee will be released unpaid. Employees are only allowed to refuse the vaccination for medical or religious reasons, but they must then take other protective measures. A heated debate is currently raging in the USA about compulsory vaccination. Many Republican supporters absolutely do not want to be vaccinated. In Texas, the Republican governor had banned vaccination by law. Many Democratic supporters, as well as scientists, argue that vaccination is the only way to get the pandemic under control and keep the economy going.
