Coronation of Charles: It doesn’t work without a king and pomp – Opinion

On this coronation day, one could easily forget that Great Britain does not have a flawless monarchy, but only the constitutional variant of this order. That means: Charles III. is the head of state of, well, the United Kingdom. But of course the country is not really subject to the king, because parliament, government and the unwritten democratic constitution are above the monarch and limit his operational reach.
