The royal couple is celebrated in Great Britain for three days. At the end on May 8th, millions of people take part in social projects. For this, the British got an additional public holiday.

The British celebrate their new king for three days. The conclusion of “Big Help Out” this Monday is all about charity.
As part of the coronation celebrations in honor of King Charles III. (74) the British have an additional public holiday on Monday (May 8). Charity projects are taking place across the country in which those interested can get involved. Members of the royal family are also expected to attend the so-called “Big Help Out”.
55,000 charity events have been announced
As “BBC” reports, 30,000 organizations organize 55,000 charity events across the UK. Charles and his wife Camilla (75) are not expected to attend. However, Prince William (40) and Princess Kate (41) should participate in the social projects. The heir to the throne surprisingly attended a street festival on Sunday (May 7) on the occasion of the “Coronation Big Lunch” in Windsor.
Other royals are also on duty on Monday to help and thank volunteers. The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Charles’ brother Edward, 59, and his wife Sophie, 58, will be attending a puppy course at the Guide Dog Training Center in Reading. Charles’ sister Princess Anne, 72, and her husband Sir Tim Laurence, 68, attend a civic service at Gloucester Cathedral to honor volunteers. Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Richard, 78, and Brigitte, 76, visit young volunteers at a celebration at St Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Kensington, London. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby (67), has already distributed meals to the homeless in the British capital along with other faith leaders.
Three days in honor of the new king
The charity holiday marks the conclusion of the three-day coronation celebrations. The coronation service was held at Westminster Abbey on Saturday (6 May). Coronation Big Lunches were held across the UK on Sunday and the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle in the evening.
