The number of corona infections has again increased sharply in the district. While the seven-day incidence was 200 two weeks ago, it has now risen to 360.9. This is slightly above the Bavarian value of 330.8 and well above the German average of 281.1.
According to the district office in the Ebersberg district, 101 new infections were reported on Thursday, 32 more than in the week before. A total of 352 people from the Ebersberg district are currently reported as corona positive – however, only those cases are recorded here in which those affected have proven their infection with a PCR test and reported it to the health department.
The situation is unlikely to improve in the coming weeks. One indication of this is the wastewater monitoring, which, according to the district office, shows a strong to very strong increase in the relevant biomarker concentrations for all three extraction locations – Ebersberg, Grafing, Glonn. The evaluating scientists see a significant increase in corona infections, suspect a high number of unreported cases and expect the incidences to increase more rapidly in the district.
