The seven-day incidence in Germany has risen again – according to the RKI, the value in the morning was 80.4. The health authorities reported 17,015 new infections within one day. A week ago there were 11,903 infections.
The number of new corona infections in Germany has increased significantly. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reported 17,015 new infections within one day. A week ago the value was 11,903 infections. The seven-day incidence rose for the seventh day in a row: The RKI gave the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week in the morning at 80.4. For comparison: the previous day the value was 75.1, a week ago it was 65.4.
According to the new information, 92 deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours. A week ago there were also 92 deaths. The number of people who died with or with a proven infection with Sars-CoV-2 rose to 94,808.
Hospitalization incidence at 2.13
The number of corona patients admitted to the clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was given by the RKI as 2.13 (Monday 1.92). This is the most important parameter for a possible tightening of the corona restrictions.
A nationwide threshold, from when the situation can be viewed critically, is not provided for the incidence of hospitalization, among other things because of large regional differences. The previous high was around 15.5 around Christmas time.
The RKI has counted 4,401,631 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not detected. The RKI stated the number of those who had recovered at 4,174,400.
