At the federal-state summit, among other things, a 2G-Plus regulation for restaurants, cafes and pubs was decided. The German Hotel and Restaurant Association fears further losses in sales as a result.

The German Hotel and Restaurant Association (Dehoga) warns in view of the planned stricter access rules for the gastronomy of further losses in sales for the companies.

“The nationwide introduction of 2G-plus access rules is a disaster for many companies,” said managing director Ingrid Hartges the news portal “watson”. The companies are already struggling with significant sales losses compared to 2019. “Every second entrepreneur is worried about his existence,” said Hartges.

The federal and state governments decided on Friday, among other things, a 2G-plus regulation for restaurants, cafes and pubs. In the future, only those who have been boosted or have been vaccinated twice with a daily test will be given access.

Hartges pointed out that less than half of the people in the country are currently boosted. In addition, long queues in front of test centers, which only have limited opening times, can be expected. “This hits all businesses particularly hard that live from spontaneous visits and many younger guests who are often not yet boosted.”

It is now important that companies “are provided with sufficient help to secure their livelihood,” Hartges demanded. If necessary “readjusted”.
