Protest against Corona deniers in Hamburg

In Hamburg, around 3,000 people took to the streets against corona deniers and conspiracy ideologies. According to the police, around 2,900 people took part in a protest march through the city center under the motto “Solidarity and education instead of conspiracy ideologies”. The Hamburg alliance against the right, which was supported by more than 100 organizations and groups, had called for this.

Posters read slogans like: “Vaccinate instead of scolding”, “Whoever walks with Nazis hasn’t understood anything” or “Think laterally over the cliff”. The demonstration was bigger than expected. Originally, 1000 participants were registered.

Forbidden Corona protest in front of Hamburger Kunsthalle

The gathering was originally planned as a counter-rally for a large anti-vaccination demonstration, to which up to 15,000 participants were expected. However, the police had banned this for reasons of infection control. An urgent application by the applicant against the ban was rejected by the administrative court.

Despite the ban, hundreds of opponents of the Corona measures gathered in front of the Hamburger Kunsthalle and on the surrounding streets. The police spoke of around 3000 participants. There were also individual fisticuffs with the police, the dpa news agency reported. Most participants did not wear masks.

Demonstrations in several cities in Lower Saxony

There were also renewed protests against the corona measures in several cities in Lower Saxony. According to police estimates, around 1,500 people gathered in Osnabrück for a demonstration. Violations of the mask requirement were increasingly observed. According to the police, demonstrations in Lüneburg and Uelzen against the Corona policy that were also registered took place without major measures. Distances were maintained and masks were worn.

At the same time, numerous people protested again in downtown Schwerin against corona restrictions and compulsory vaccination. According to the police, around 1,070 people took part in the protest at the top. The motto of the protest was: free vaccination decision, no division. According to the police, the applicable distance rules were observed.

Protests also in Munich, Fürth and Düsseldorf

According to the police, around 1,000 people protested peacefully in Munich against what they considered to be strict corona requirements. The organizer had previously registered the action with the city. Around 1,900 people gathered in Fürth who spoke out against general corona vaccination. “So far everything has been trouble-free,” said a spokesman for the police headquarters in Central Franconia.

Several thousand opponents of compulsory corona vaccination also came together in Düsseldorf for a demonstration through the city center. An applicant who is attributed to the “lateral thinking” initiative had registered a rally with 2500 participants. According to the police, the rally was initially peaceful.
