Corona in Germany: How politicians are struggling to make vaccination compulsory

It starts late, the orientation debate in the Bundestag about compulsory vaccination. And it will drag on for a long time. Should one see this as a symbol of how the vaccination campaign in Germany is doing overall?

The Bundestag agenda for this Wednesday has three items. First the government survey, for the first time with the Greens Minister for Economic Affairs Robert Habeck. Then question time and finally, around 3 p.m., the “Agreed debate on the Sars-CoV-2 vaccination requirement”. Three hours are planned for this, and the fact that the debate starts late and lasts a long time can be seen as a symbol of how things are going with compulsory vaccination and perhaps the whole vaccination campaign in Germany.
