It wasn’t long ago that there was constant trembling in counties and cities in Bavaria with a worried look at the incidence – after all, if the 1000 mark was exceeded, there was a risk of a quasi-lockdown. In mid-January, the state government suspended the hotspot rule as no longer “reasonable”. In view of the rapidly growing omicron wave, it would no longer be an exception only for particularly affected regions.
