Just six months ago, Lukas Zapf was sitting alone in his Munich apartment. It echoed because the living room was so empty. He was waiting for Anine, his fiancee from South Africa. They had a date for the wedding, everything else was unclear. Because South Africa was a virus variant area, Anine could not apply for a visa. The apartment is no longer empty. In the corner are lots of boxes that have just arrived from South Africa. Anine, who now has the same last name as him, is sitting next to Lukas Zapf at the table. They talk about the bureaucratic scavenger hunt they have been through. And why their wedding almost didn’t work out.
