“The collapse threatens to become a reality!” 530 doctors publish a dramatic vaccination call

It is a desperate appeal: more than 500 doctors from the Rosenheim region asked all citizens to get vaccinated as soon as possible in a newspaper advertisement.
The list ranges from the general practitioner to the pediatrician and intensive care physician to the chief physicians of the Romed clinics in Rosenheim: 530 medical professionals have placed a full-page newspaper advertisement in which they draw attention to the dramatic situation in the hospitals and practices.
“Trust us and get vaccinated as soon as possible!” The doctors named in the OVB home newspapers appeal to “all citizens”. “Skepticism and hesitation endanger human life, your vaccination saves lives!”
Vaccination as an act of “charity and solidarity”
The number of corona cases in the entire foothills of the Alps rose dramatically and with it the number of patients who needed advice, help and treatment, according to the ad. “We doctors and our employees: in our practices, clinics and laboratories, we therefore work under very difficult conditions, often on the verge of exhaustion.”
This “extreme situation” not only endangers their own health, but also the medical care of the people, write the doctors. “The life-saving care that we could always rely on so far no longer exists! The collapse threatens to become a reality!”
The group calls on people to show “charity and solidarity” with everyone who has Covid-19, with those at risk who cannot be vaccinated, with our children, with the elderly and sick, with accident victims, with the clinic and practice staff and last but not least with your doctors on site! “
The advertisement ends with the call: “Make an appointment for a vaccination with your family doctor, vaccination doctor or at the vaccination center! Every vaccination counts!”
The appeal is signed by “Your doctors from the city and district of Rosenheim”.
The incidence value in the Rosenheim district is almost 1000
The Romed clinics have meanwhile made it clear that in view of the tense corona situation, operations that can be planned would have to be postponed, but emergencies and urgent interventions would still be comprehensively provided, as reported by radio station BR24. The treatment of emergencies and cases that could not be postponed, such as tumor operations or interventions in obstetrics, would take place, it is said.
“We would like to explicitly point out that we of course see every patient at the agreed appointment and then work with them to determine the best further treatment strategy,” the broadcaster quotes the commercial management of the Romed Clinic in Rosenheim. “This of course also includes urgent operations surgical cases. “
The seven-day incidence in the Rosenheim district was 979.3 on Monday morning, and the value nationwide was 386.5. In contrast, the vaccination quota in the Rosenheim area is around 56 percent, well below the national average of just under 68 percent.
