Corinne Pulver, the sister of actress Liselotte Pulver, made drastic films as a television journalist. She died at the age of 96.
If Martin Walser and his first novel “Ehen in Philippsburg” are to be believed, then Stuttgart in the fifties was a bad breeding ground. Her father did not let Corinne Pulver go to high school, but only to a trade school. She wanted to become a set designer, became an assistant to the architect Max Bill and came from Switzerland to the Süddeutscher Rundfunk in Stuttgart in 1956, where Walser was editor and male rule was unbroken. Surprisingly, she was the only woman able to hold her own alongside filmmakers such as Wilhelm Bittorf, Peter Nestler and Roman Brodmann, all of whom were later attributed to a special “Stuttgart School”.
