Microsoft is expanding its AI offering: The new Copilot app for Android provides direct access to GPT 4 and Dall-E 3, independent of Bing. An iOS version is being planned.
Microsoft recently released a Copilot app for Android devices on the Google Play Store. It allows Android users to directly access the capabilities of the AI assistant Copilot without relying on Bing or other Microsoft applications. The app is free in the Google Play Store available and offers a comprehensive range of functions.
The focus of the new app is on… AI models GPT 4 and Dall-E 3 by OpenAI. This allows users to make complex queries, generate texts and Create images. This means you also have the opportunity to access the latest developments in the field of artificial intelligence on your mobile device.
Copilot instead of Bing
Previously, Copilot access was primarily possible via Microsoft’s Bing search engine. Integrating the AI chatbot with Bing was a first step in making AI technology available to a wider audience. About Microsoft to unify the growing AI offering, the name was changed to “Copilot” in November. Microsoft has also integrated Copilot into its Windows and Office applications, as well as into the Github developer platform. Copilot will even be released for Windows 10.

While Android users can already benefit from this development, iPhone owners still have to wait for an iOS version to be released. However, it is expected that Microsoft will soon serve this platform as well, as media reports already indicate an imminent release.
