Cop shoots 26-year-old driver after refusing to comply

A routine check that could have ended very badly. A few weeks after the Nahel affair. Sunday evening, around 10:30 p.m., in the district of Purpan in Toulouse, the police approach a car that seems suspicious. While they want to start a routine check, the car would have refused to stop and would have darkened, according to our colleagues from The Midi Dispatch, on the police.

Confirmed by a police source, one of the officers then opened fire and injured the 26-year-old driver in the shoulder before the car stopped. The suspect was then taken to the hospital emergency room next door for treatment.

His vital prognosis has not been engaged. The police officer who opened fire was also taken care of by the SAMU, in shock and injured in the hip.
