Conversations about the East – Culture

“Three East German women get drunk and found the ideal state” – sounds like a joke, but is a long conversation worth reading about character, existence and future in the East.

After an anger bible by the Leipzig literature professor Dirk Oschmann had, as expected, dominated the Eastern discourse for a long time, the question recently arose as to how and with what this discourse could finally be continued – in a year, mind you, in which a dangerous smell is already heralding the important state elections in the fall in which the fall of the Berlin Wall is dragging its way towards its next semi-circular anniversary. Is he, the fall of the Berlin Wall, lying awake at night thinking about whether he wants to celebrate at all and who he wants to invite?
