On January 15th, not a single seat should be left empty at the Salle Gaveau, a venue in Paris’ eighth arrondissement. Then a film will be shown there, the subject of which has occupied French intellectual life for weeks: a long conversation between the philosopher Michel Onfray and the writer Michel Houellebecq, in which the two discuss everything from euthanasia to the existence of God and abortion exchange ideas and talk to each other in a frenzy and rage.
