In an interview with the club magazine Foal close up Jantschke spoke about the contract situation. “We’ll get together as soon as possible and see how things go. I would like to play, but we’ll talk about it again,” Jantschke told the magazine. In January they will start talking about the future.

“There are currently many contracts that are expiring. That’s why I don’t take myself that seriously,” said the central defender cautiously. In addition, Christoph Kramer (31) and Lars Stindl (34) as well as the substitute goalkeepers Tobias Sippel (34) and Jan Olschowsky (21) face an uncertain future with the foals.
It has already been decided that Jantschke will become active at the club from the Lower Rhine after his career. “When Max Eberl was still sporting director and I extended my contract there again, I signed a contract with Borussia. We quickly agreed that I would stay at the club after my career. That’s what I want too,” Jantschke made clear . Only the timing is currently still unclear.
Tony Jantschke (32) is the most loyal player in the Borussia Mönchengladbach squad. The defender moved to Gladbach from the U17s at the Dresden Nord youth club in 2006. In the summer of 2009, the defender signed his first professional contract. Jantschke has now been playing for the Bundesliga club for 16 years. There may be more years to come.
