Contained 2% increase in public transport fares

Many things will change on August 1, and not necessarily to cheer you up. Anticipate the increase of certain bills, in particular the electricity bill with the end of the government tariff shield. In addition to the national increases, the inhabitants of the European Metropolis of Lille (MEL) will suffer from more local ones, in particular that concerning the prices of public transport. Explanations.

The drop in the inflation curve does not prevent certain prices from increasing. This is what Ilévia, the delegate of the public transport service in the Lille metropolitan area, announced. Thus, from August 1, “the prices of the Ilévia network are changing”, warns the carrier. But, to put an end to the criticisms that inevitably follow each attack on travelers’ wallets, the operator tempers: “the main concern is monthly and long-term subscriptions”, assures Ilévia, adding that “the price of the unit journey remains unchanged”. .

Between 0.63 and 3% increase depending on subscriptions

Indeed, the unit journey remains indeed at 1.80 euro for one hour. Subscriptions, on the other hand, increase on average by less than 2%. The annual subscription for 4-25 year olds, for example, goes from 26.50 euros to 27 euros. The same, but for 26-64 year olds, takes one euro (from 54 to 55 euros).

If this was not specified in the press release announcing the price change, 20 minutes still noticed small changes on social pricing. Subscription price increases for precarious people range between 0.63% and 3%. The 10-month subscription for 4-25 year olds (with a CAF family quotient of less than 374 euros) goes from 3.30 to 3.40 euros, or a 3% increase.

Also note that this new pricing does not exclude V’lille subscriptions, which climb in the same proportions as the rest, less than 2%. In short, we always come out better than the Ile-de-France residents, excited to see the Navigo pass come close to 90 euros.
