Fuel prices are plummeting again. According to the ADAC, the nationwide daily average price for diesel was 2.25 euros per liter yesterday, for Super E10 it was 2.159 euros.

For the first time since the highs of the past few days, fuel prices have fallen significantly again. Diesel fell by 4.2 cents per liter within a day, and Super E10 was 3.3 cents cheaper.

As the ADAC announced, the nationwide daily average price for diesel was 2.25 euros per liter yesterday. With Super E10 it was 2.159 euros. Even today, according to the traffic club, there are signs of a further, albeit slower, decline.

Compared to the level before the start of the Ukraine war, diesel is still almost 59 cents per liter more expensive, E10 almost 41 cents more, while the price of crude oil, which has risen sharply in the meantime, is again close to its pre-war value.

The ADAC estimates the fuel prices as too high. “Of course, there is currently a special situation due to the war – but there is still a lot of room to go down in the prices at the gas station,” said fuel market expert Jürgen Albrecht. “The current decline must continue. Drivers can support this through their driving and refueling behavior.”
