Constant boredom & Co .: These problems are known to highly intelligent people

Being smarter than the majority is not always easy. These problems are typical of very intelligent people.

Many people consider intelligence to be a rather desirable quality. The general opinion is that those who are clever get through life better and are more successful.

Only a few realize that it is not always easy for people with above-average intelligence to have it easy. Do you know any of the following problems? Then you probably know from your own experience that a high IQ can actually be a challenge. These problems speak for a high level of intelligence:

1. You think more than you speak

Are you the quiet one in the group, even if the conversation interests you ardently? Do you end up frustrated in group brainstorming because others are expressing your ideas while you are still reflecting on them? No wonder! With every thought, you always see a huge pile of context. In each of your considerations, you directly include different perspectives.

And when things go really bad, you also ask yourself the question of relevance. By the time you have done all of this, the others are long on the next topic. Or they just look at you with big eyes when you say something, because of course they haven’t thought about all of your thoughts and have no idea what you’re actually talking about.

2. You’re a lousy small talker

Blablablabla – everyone is talking, laughing, telling Schwanks about their lives and you keep wondering where the bus is? With the people who care ?! You just can’t do anything with shallow topics and try to put them in a context in which they have meaning while the others wait for your reaction.

So you pretend, feign interest, improvise. Exhausting – and probably not just for you!

3. You get bored easily at work

Your brain constantly needs new challenges and projects, otherwise you will lose interest. Once you’ve learned something (which is usually pretty quick), it loses its appeal pretty quickly.

You need variety, variety and variety in your job – and such a job is not that easy to find, unfortunately …

4. You find it difficult to make decisions

Do you envy people who can make decisions spontaneously and on their guts? On the other hand, do you see an incredible number of options that you have to choose between? And then do you always play through all these variants in your head first, with their consequences and conditions, and then weigh for a long time which way is the best?

Well, condolences! And a little food for thought: Perhaps the “meaning of life” is more to try out as much as possible and learn from it than to do everything “right” right away. After all, nobody knows what is “right” anyway!

5. When you have an argument, you usually lose out

Your position is crystal clear, but you still find it incredibly difficult to stand up for it and represent it – because you can understand the other positions so well!

It’s maddening: Whenever the other person makes an argument, you understand exactly where it came from and what he means by it. You see that it is also justified and look for the point in the train of thought of the person you are talking to where you can come together. But when you have found him, the argument is usually over, the other person thinks he is right and you don’t think it makes sense to boil the whole thing up again.

6. You often have self-doubts

Who is surprised ?! First of all, you think about everything and everyone anyway, including yourself, of course. And secondly, you lack a lot of positive feedback: For example for your great ideas, which you mostly keep quiet, or for the decisions that you put off until fate or others met them. But you are just as much a person as anyone and you need social feedback to build your self-worth.

Therefore: Find at least one or two people who have the same problems as you and talk to them or just spend time together. And: don’t make it so damn hard for yourself! You are worth nothing more and nothing less than anyone else. You have the right to make mistakes and do or say something stupid, not fully thought out. Even if it’s difficult: stop brooding and take a chance!
