The new album “Camiño” by singer Veronica Ferreiro and guitarist Javier Sánchez in three words: emotion, passion and joy of life. Released in 2022, the two are bringing their joint project to the Bayerischer Hof stage for the first time.
The singer from Madrid celebrated her breakthrough in 2011 with her debut album “Laio” and secured a place in the Spanish, Mexican and Argentine jazz charts. For the new album of seven songs, she worked with Javier Sánchez, the London Sinfonietta and Troy Miller – producer of Gregory Porter and Emeli Sandé, among others. The result: a mix of jazz, folk and classical music.
The lyrics are poems in Galician. Very few people in the audience will probably understand. Half as bad. Veronica’s expressive and multifaceted voice is too captivating to switch off. Veronica Ferreiro and Javier Sánchez don’t overshadow each other, they complement each other.
