Concert reading with letters from the artist couple Marc – district of Munich

The adult education center in Taufkirchen is organizing a special kind of concert reading with the community library this Sunday, March 20th. The focus of the event in the culture and congress center is a couple of lovers and artists who lived in times of tremendous upheaval: Franz and Maria Marc . “It is horrifying to understand that today there is no longer a distinction between right and wrong – that everything is in vain, what is called an international treaty – or humanity – or morality,” Maria Marc said in a letter. From 1905 to 1916, Franz and Maria Marc wrote hundreds of letters full of longing and tenderness, which provide an insight into everyday life, the art scene and the beginning of the First World War. This touchingly topical exchange of letters was created by Michael Stacheder and Anna März. The Trio Anheizholz is responsible for the musical accompaniment. The reading on Sunday begins at 11 a.m. Tickets are available for 18 euros in advance at the VHS or in the community library. Anyone who would like to book a brunch (15 euros) should also contact the adult education center or the library in advance.
