While some people climb the career ladder from zero to one hundred, others don’t reach their goal even after several attempts. With Simon Bonney and his band project Crime & the City Solution There have now been five attempts, but the Australian hasn’t really become known for it to this day. Wrongfully so, his fans have been sure for a long time. Especially those who have followed Bonney’s entire career, which began in Australia in 1977, through stops in London, Berlin, Detroit and, since 2022, Berlin again.
There are close connections to Nick Cave, The Birthday Party and to the Collapsing new buildings. And especially to Alex Hacke, who was involved in the great Crime & the City Solution album “Shine” from 1988. And the band now performs his project at their concert in the Ampere Hackedepicciotto accompanied. There Simon Bonney & Co. present the new album “The Killer”, which fits perfectly into our times with its dark rock songs.
