Apple developer conference WWDC on June 10th
Apple traditionally announces new features for its devices at WWDC. The focus should be clear this time. Once again, the conference will primarily be a free online event.
At the WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference), Apple traditionally announces new functions for the company’s devices. Last year at WWDC, Apple also gave a first look at the Vision Pro computer glasses, which came onto the market in February. This time, artificial intelligence is likely to be the focus. The chatbot ChatGPT, which can formulate sentences at the linguistic level of a human, overshadowed software from established tech companies such as Apple’s voice assistant Siri a good year ago. The heavyweights have been using AI technologies in the background for years, but are now under increasing pressure to make them more visible to users.
Google will also hold its developer conference in mid-May primarily online and on a small scale at its headquarters in Mountain View. An increased focus on AI is also expected at Google I/O. The chip company Nvidia, which grew up with technology for AI applications, gathered several thousand participants in San Jose, California, for its developer conference GTC last week for the first time since the pandemic.
