Complaint by the grandson of Marcel Pagnol against three deputies

“I have just filed a complaint for defamation against three deputies of the town hall of Marseille”, announces this Friday Nicolas Pagnol, the grandson of the famous Provençal writer. This news follows the skirmishes that took place on Twitter with Théo Challande-Névoret (EELV) and the two socialists Pierre Huguet and Jean-Pierre Cochet.

The three deputies reacted to a tweet from the one who lost the public service delegation of the Château de la Buzine, reputed to have been the “Castle of my mother” in the writings of his grandfather, Marcel Pagnol, “event” from the beginning month of June at the origin of a psychodrama in the politico-cultural microcosm of Marseilles on which the opposition tries to capitalize.

The word “faggot” has revived the controversy

“It is very amusing and at the same time heartbreaking to see how those of your friends whom you thought were valuable turn out to be fags and some who you thought were submissive turned out to be warriors. The test reveals the characters and as far as I am concerned the friendships too, ”wrote Nicolas Pagnol.

The term “fags” obviously did not pass to the three deputies targeted by defamation complaints who respectively denounced a homophobic and “putophobic” insult“indecent remarks which dishonor the name of Pagnol” and “rancid homophobia” of this diatribe.

The grandson of Marcel Pagnol, supports using the term lopette in the first sense, which means, according to Larousse, a man without character. In slang, however, this term does designate a homosexual. And this debate looks like a new storm in the glass of water at the Château de la Buzine.
