The University Hospital of Erlangen itself gave a testimony of exactly what it was like in May 2009. “As a token of gratitude and as a token of our deep connection,” the medical faculty at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) is rededicating a lecture hall at Östliche Stadtmauerstrasse 11 to “Rudolf-Wöhrl-Lecture Hall,” according to a statement. Before that, the “95-year-old founder of the Wöhrl fashion houses” donated a whopping 250,000 euros for research projects.
