Scenes like something out of a science fiction film: Here you see a flying car in the style of a racing car.
According to the developer Alauda Aeronautics, the Mk4 model is the world’s fastest electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft.
According to the manufacturer, the flying car reaches 360 km/h from a standing start – within 30 seconds.
The previous model is said to have already completed 350 successful test flights.
The Mk4 should also be able to take place in manned races.
“We and the world are now ready for crewed flying car races.” Matt Pearson, CEO of Alauda Astronautics
A 1,000-kilowatt hydrogen turbogenerator supplies the electric motor with energy. Its power: 1340 hp.
The engine uses only hydrogen, which means that the vehicle’s emissions are almost zero.
In March 2024, the vehicle will be presented at the Southstart Innovation Festival in Australia – and will take part in a manned air race for the first time.
