As planned, the committee of inquiry into the mask affair in the Bavarian state parliament can officially be set up before Christmas – in one of the plenary sessions next week. The Legal Affairs Committee unanimously gave the go-ahead on Thursday. The Greens, SPD and FDP, who had submitted the application to the committee, had recently agreed on some minor changes to the list of questions with the CSU and Free Voters. These are some clarifications and legal definitions. The aim of the committee is to clarify the state government’s mask business in the corona pandemic, possible involvement of MPs and, in some cases, high commission payments to MPs.
