Commerzbank shares rise: Commerzbank benefits from higher interest rates

Commerzbank is apparently expecting an even larger interest surplus this year due to the sharp rise in interest rates.

As the group’s Commerzbank CFO, Bettina Orlopp, said at a financial conference on Tuesday, net interest income is expected to rise to eight billion euros. The group recently promised at least 7.8 billion euros. Commerzbank is heavily dependent on private and corporate customer business. That’s why it particularly benefits from higher interest rates.

Via XETRA, Commerzbank shares temporarily gained 1.63 percent to 9.95 euros.
