Commentary on Mazraoui and FC Bayern: Landauer’s lessons – Sport

FC Bayern acted carefully and carefully in the difficult case of Noussair Mazraoui. The fact that there are no consequences at all for the player contradicts the club’s otherwise clear stance.

In the middle of the week, Mo Salah published a video on Instagram about the war in Israel and Palestine. Salah is a striker for Liverpool FC, but in this context, as an Egyptian, he is above all a Muslim sports icon. Salah called for an end to violence and humanitarian aid for Gaza in 51 seconds. But because he didn’t use the word “Hamas” or the word “Israel” in his mouth, and because he didn’t take a clear position, his statement was soon criticized from all sides. Some complained that Mo Salah was letting his Muslim brothers down – others felt that, especially as a Muslim, he should clearly condemn Hamas’ terror.
