By breaking the ceasefire, Hamas has once again made it clear: it cannot be trusted. And because this is the case, there is no alternative: the terrorist organization must be dismantled once and for all.

You can rely on Hamas – and you have to say it cynically: you can rely on Hamas. Shortly before 7 a.m. this morning, the terrorist group once again showed its true colors. At that time, Hamas was trampling on the ceasefire that had been the hope of the world. She showed what she thinks of agreements with the first rocket that ended the ceasefire. Namely, nothing.

But who is surprised? Hamas has only one thing in mind: it oppresses its own population, takes innocent people hostage, and doesn’t even stop at nine-month-old babies. It is murdering and massacring Israelis in a way that had not been thought possible since the Holocaust. Agreements and agreements have no place in the thoughts and actions of these Islamist butchers.

But didn’t you know that beforehand?

Israel had no choice

Of course that was known. But with more than 240 hostages initially in the hands of the terrorist group, the Israeli government could not help but make a deal with the devil. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu knew where this would lead. It is not for nothing that he did not lose sight of his goal of destroying Hamas once and for all during the ceasefire.

Israel must never be endangered again from the Gaza Strip; this Israeli war goal must also be implemented. This is one of the reasons why there is actually no alternative to a military approach to the conflict. Because you can’t negotiate with terrorists.

civilian population in Gaza is paying the price

The fact that this finding has been confirmed once again does not bode well for Israel, especially for the Israeli hostages and for the civilian population who are paying the price of Hamas’ reign of terror. The situation is becoming increasingly hopeless for the hostages. They are the pawns of a terrorist group that would have continued its perfidious tactics of driving up the price every day.

Arab states must distance themselves

It would now be time for the states of the Arab League to clearly show their colors – to distance themselves from the terrorist group Hamas. It cannot be the case that countries like Qatar are becoming increasingly influential globally and yet maintain close, friendly contacts with the terrorists. The Arab states must become more involved in the conflict, isolate Hamas and try to push forward a negotiated solution.

But behind the scenes there is now talk again about restarting the ceasefire. My hope that something will come of this is not very high. Because Hamas has shown its true face. You can’t negotiate with terrorists.
