Late, but at least things are moving forward. The investigation into abuse of children and young people is making progress; many studies are available or are in progress. It is the Catholic Church, which has been heavily criticized for years for covering up violence against minors, which is taking a pioneering role. This is particularly true for the Munich Archdiocese. The fact that an abuse memorial will soon be installed in the Frauenkirche speaks for the learning curve of Archbishop Reinhard Marx, who is increasingly taking the wishes and needs of those affected into account.
