Pretty much every woman probably knows the uncomfortable feeling of an ill-fitting bra. From digging straps to bulky cups to scratchy seams, even the most expensive model can be uncomfortable. The size of the breasts is not the problem.
Although there are uniform sizes for all cups and the underbust measurement, many models – depending on the manufacturer – are different wide or narrow. It is all the more important to try it on personally before making any purchase. Unfortunately, many women still wear the wrong bra size, which can not only lead to health problems such as headaches or shoulder pain. Painful pressure points and uncomfortable wearing are also typical of an ill-fitting bra. It is all the more important to measure your bust size correctly. Measuring: How to determine the correct bra size
Regardless of the fact that a well-fitting bra offers noticeably more comfort, the right size reduces health problems – such as tension in the neck or shoulder area. To find out what cup size is right for you, measure your bust with a tape measure measure. Proceed as follows:
- Stand up straight and place the measuring tape on the widest part of the breast, for many women this is usually the height of the nipples. Now measure the chest circumference by running the tape measure around the body.
- Then determine your underbust measurement by placing the measuring tape directly under the breast and leading it around the body. You can then determine the correct cup size from the difference between the underbust measurement and the chest circumference.

Comfortable bras: These models offer more comfort

1. Wireless bras
Bras with metal inserts give the breasts more support, but often have the disadvantage that they cut into the skin and cause pain.
