These are clear words that actor Chris Rock uses to make fun of Duchess Meghan. The colonialism accusation against the Royals is to be taken very seriously.
US comedian Chris Rock mocked Duchess Meghan’s allegations of racism against the British royal family in a live Netflix broadcast. “It’s the Royal Family. Didn’t they google these assholes?” Asks the 58-year-old incredulously in the current Netflix show “Selective Outrage”, which has been available on the streaming service in English-speaking countries since the weekend. “How can she say she didn’t know?” Rock continues to wonder. “It’s the Royal Family. They’re the original racists. They invented colonialism.”
The black comedian refers to allegations by Meghan (41), which she first raised in an interview with US talk show host Oprah Winfrey. Before the birth of Meghan and Prince Harry’s (38) first child, a member of the royal family asked how dark the baby’s skin color would be, she said at the time. In relation to the history and customs of the British royal family, Meghan had repeatedly emphasized that before her relationship with Prince Harry, she knew little about it – and had not read about her current husband on Google either.
