Swabia and Berlin are a rather strained relationship. Aurel Mertz, born in Stuttgart, has lived in Berlin for twelve years. It’s not so bad anymore, he assures us when he comes to an interview in a vegan café. On social media and in his comedy programs, he cultivates Swabian, not intrusively, but rather lovingly.
