2021 was an eventful year for Princess Amalia of the Netherlands, eldest daughter and heir to the throne of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima.
She turned 18 in December and, in line with Dutch royal tradition, a biography was published just in time for her 18th birthday.
One of the bigger news: Amalia has been in a relationship since last summer. She is said to have fallen in love with a non-noble German millionaire’s son from Westphalia. She was spotted with him skiing in Lech, Austria, and on a trip to New York: Dutch tourists recognized the king’s daughter on a romantic walk across the Brooklyn Bridge at sunset with a young man.
