The “Uber Atlas” provides insights into the user behavior of Uber passengers in Germany. Sometimes something gets lost along the way – be it a cleaning bucket or a frozen duck.

The most forgetful users of the ride-hailing service Uber come from Munich. Nowhere else were more items forgotten in the vehicle last year in relation to the number of journeys completed.

Düsseldorf and Cologne follow in second and third place. This emerges from the “Uber Atlas” published in Berlin. People in Munich are ten percent more likely to forget things in their vehicles than people in Düsseldorf.

Similar to passengers in conventional taxis, Uber passengers most often forgot their phones, wallets and keys, but also some bizarre things. This also includes two painted rat traps, two buckets of dough, a cleaning bucket with a mop and a frozen duck.

Distance traveled less than 50 meters

From the “Uber Atlas” you can also see that the drivers did not always do a lot of business with their tours. In three cases the distance traveled was less than 50 meters. In Oberursel (Taunus) the ride ended after just 41 meters. In Cologne, a passenger got out after just 46 meters. And the shortest tour in Munich was just 48 meters.

In the past twelve months, however, a driver at Berlin Brandenburg Airport “Willy Brandt” (BER) won the big prize. His passenger was driven 863 kilometers to Zurich airport in just under nine hours. A driver at Düsseldorf Airport was also lucky: his guest was driven to the Bavarian capital Munich, 639 kilometers away. This tour lasted five hours and 35 minutes.
