Colorectal cancer is the second most common tumor disease in Bavaria in both women and men – with around 3700 new cases per year in women and 4800 in men in 2019 (source: Bavarian Cancer Registry). Although these numbers have been steadily declining since 2005, as a spokeswoman for the Bavarian State Ministry of Health and Care said, they are “strongly promoting the need for preventive medical check-ups. The earlier colorectal cancer is detected, the greater the chances of recovery.”
