“Collector Gang” by David Blum: This book is a warning – culture

Every novel has an opening. These can be the characters, the tone, the language, the narrative perspective, the subject, the time. Or the location. A prefabricated housing estate, for example, with an attached underworld. This is the case in the debut of the Leipzig author David Blum. “Collector corridor” leads to an underground place. The labyrinth of pipes connects the individual high-rise buildings with each other; it is a widely branched area, its own charged landscape in an urban context. The collector corridor becomes a place of action, a crime scene. It is a backdrop and at the same time a symbol for a multi-layered portrait of youth and social milieus in the post-reunification period.
