Coinbase Partners with “Team Liquid”, an Esports Team Competing in League of Legends

Team Liquid, an esports team that competes in games such as League of Legends and Fortnite, has signed a four-year deal with cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase.

In Wednesday’s announcement, Team Liquid said its partnership with US crypto exchanges Aimed at “crossover between gaming and crypto-curious audiences” as well as creating crypto-focused content, Coinbase will enable crypto payments for Team Liquid’s online marketplace and The two will work together on technologies aimed at promoting fan engagement.

“Like many fans, crypto used to be new to us. But when we start to read and study it We know it’s not just a fad that goes by — it’s here and it will be in the future,” said Steve Arhancet, Team Liquid owner and co-CEO. “By partnering with Coinbase, we hope we can provide some distribution for Team Liquid fans in crypto.”

Founded in 2000, Team Liquid has over 100 gamers competing in esports titles including Fortnite, League of Legends and Valorant. Coinbase’s logo appears on the team’s jerseys. and may help in the development of NFT tokens used in gaming platforms.
