CoD: Modern Warfare – ROG Strix 570e Gaming – 3070 TI + 5900x – Warzone drops strong FPS after 2 minutes

Good day everybody,

  • Screens: 1x AOC 240 Herz 27 inch curved and 3x AOC 144 Herz 27 inch curved.
  • Resolution: 1920x1080p Full HD (Control Panel)

My problem in short:

I start COD Warzone – go into the game – meanwhile I have over 120-150 FPS and after about 2 minutes my FPS are simply cut down to 70-90 FPS out of nowhere – it doesn’t go up again and stays until next round start again 2 minutes between 120-150 FPS like that and then he cuts the FPS down again between 70-90 FPS. (Although between 120-150 FPS is actually still too little for this hardware – but I have lowered my requirements)

Briefly about my Windows settings:

  • Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
  • Version: 10.0.19044 Build 19044
  • Game mode activated
  • X Box Settings
  • Background apps disabled
  • Windows updates completed

  • Resizable Bar is Enabled

About my GPU:

– Drivers are up to date: NVIDIA Geforce Game Ready driver 516.94

  • All settings in the Control Panel (also tried under default settings)
  • Graphic settings in Windows activated and tested
  • Performance observed in the task manager – everything OK
  • Checked all temperatures via HWMonitor – everything OK
  • Pulled out 2 RAM sticks and tried
  • Memory diagnosis carried out – everything OK
  • Run the Windows anti-virus program
  • Run Cinebench
  • Run the 3DMark benchmark
  • Disconnected the other screens and only tried one.
  • All other programs that are not necessary are closed and tested.
  • BIOS reset

I really tried everything I found through research – but nothing worked.

I had read something that you should change the adv_options.ini under documents in COD or something – I don’t even have this text file in me. I introduced them manually with the text that belongs in there

But no matter how much I make this video memory scale – it doesn’t change anything – I don’t think inserting it manually works. (That was just an idea, but I think I can rule that out as well).

I’ve come to a point where I’m absolutely at the end of my ideas and research. This post remains my last option to find a solution to my problem.

About suggested solutions or better about the solution How do I fix it – I would be very happy.

Best regards
