Coburg: Halloween party ends for guests in cell and hospital – Bavaria

A failed Halloween party in Coburg came to an unpleasant end for three of the guests: a 19-year-old was injured in the hospital after a fight, and two other visitors spent the night in police custody in a cell. The fight in the clubhouse was triggered by a dispute over a lighter, as the Coburg police station announced on Wednesday. A total of seven party guests were involved in the altercations. The police opened investigations into assaults in several cases.

Elsewhere, there apparently weren’t any particularly out of the ordinary events on Halloween night from Tuesday to Wednesday. The Upper Bavaria North police headquarters in Ingolstadt reported a “relatively quiet night”, comparable to weekend nights. In total, the officers in the northern half of Upper Bavaria went on 132 missions – including 53 disturbances of the peace, 38 traffic accidents, 20 cases of property damage and fights with a total of 21 injured.

The Lower Franconia police headquarters in Würzburg spoke of a largely peaceful Halloween – with around 60 disturbances as the “numerical focus of the police operations”. Both in Lower Franconia and in other administrative districts, the police reported several egg litters, some on houses and some on people.
